Golf Operations Update - June 2020

MEMBER NOTICE - JUNE 2020
Dear Member,

With July around the corner, we felt it was important to send out a few reminders and updates.

There is no doubt that COVID-19 has affected every business on a global level. Although our business levels have changed dramatically, we are pleased to see that your member experience has seen minimal disruption. We would like to thank you for abiding by our new safety protocols. We look forward to the coming weeks, where you will gradually see some of these measures lifted.

This notice will be focusing on the following topics:

July 1st – Second Dues Charges
  Rakes and Sand/Seed Bottles
  Two Riders Per Cart
  Member Central Updated Information
  Member Events / Bocce League

JULY 1ST - SECOND DUES CHARGES

For those of you who are dues paying members this season, your second dues payment will be charged to your member account on July 1st, making them payable by August.

Your second payment will be:

• Individual Dues = $2,200 + GST ($4,400 / 2)
• Couples Dues = $3,975 + GST ($7,950 / 2)

* Your Golf Canada handicap fee of $42 was included in your first payment.

RAKES AND SAND/SEED BOTTLES

We are thrilled with the new on cart shortened rakes that were implemented as a safety measure in our phase 1 opening. In response to the positive feedback received from our members and guests alike, we have decided to keep this program moving forward.

We are however noticing a significant decrease in our inventory levels of rakes and sand/seed bottles. We ask for your cooperation in returning these items to our valet team after each round.  With the increased number of golfers on our courses during peak season, we are facing continued issues with not having enough rakes for our guests.

These items are the property of the course and are not to be taken home. We will provide you with sanitized replacements before each round. Alternately, if you would like to order and purchase your own rake, please email ccraig@predatorridge.com.

TWO RIDERS PER CART

With the launch of our phase 2 operating plan, we installed custom shields in each golf cart to help decrease contact between riders.  The intent of this program is to ensure all riders maintain personal space, while ensuring we have enough carts to service the amount of play on both courses.  These custom shields are helping us accomplish both of these goals.

As soon as it is deemed safe , we will remove the shields. In the meantime, we do need to continue to respect the shields and the need to have two riders per cart.  Unless you have a compromised immune system and gain approval from Brent Mann or Cameron Craig, you are expected to pair up with other players in your group. We simply do not have enough carts to allow more than two carts per tee time.

This is applicable to our Predator Ridge fleet carts only.  Should you drive your own cart, you may ride by yourself and have up to four private carts per group. There is not to be more than two Predator Ridge owned carts per group, unless pre-approved.

MEMBER CENTRAL UPDATED INFORMATION

We have updated the “Member Central” page when you login to your online member account. We have added additional information, that we hope you will find useful.

The “Member Central” tab is where you will find all resort contact details, including direct phone numbers and emails. You can also find contact details on the left-hand side of our monthly Community Living newsletter.

We have also included the member course rotation, the schedule of fees, the tee schedule as well as a list of our current reciprocal partners.

If we are missing information that you would find useful, please email: ccraig@predatorridge.com

MEMBER EVENTS & BOCCE LEAGUE

Due to provincial COVID-19 guidelines limiting gatherings to 50 people, we have regrettably cancelled both our Men’s and Ladies Invitational events. We know many of you were looking forward to these events and we cannot wait to bring them back next season.

We have rescheduled our annual Lobsterfest event to September 12th, in the hopes that group gathering restrictions may be lifted by then. We are still looking to host the Club Championships in August. More information will be communicated in the future about these events.

We are making every effort to continue our Bocce league this summer. Bocce has become a staple in our community, and we are confident we can continue to host this weekly league while maintaining social distancing and providing a safe way to enjoy the game we all love. A bocce specific notice will be released over the next few weeks.

We appreciate your patience and understanding surrounding our new COVID-19 protocols and helping to keep our community safe.  We thank you for taking the time to review the above topics and look forward to seeing you around the club. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Sincerely,
Cameron Craig Brent Mann
