Golf Operations Update - April 2020 #2

GOLF OPERATIONS COVID-19 OPERATING PLAN
SOCIETY MEMBERS

Dear Society Member,

We are thrilled to announce our first phase of opening our golf courses. We want to thank all of you who have been doing your part to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. We now feel the timing is suitable and safe to open our courses in a responsible way.

It is important to note that we are currently looking to open using the below timelines, however all times are subject to change depending on current provincial and federal mandates. With that said we are planning on opening under the following schedule and guidelines.

The Predator Course – Wednesday, May 6, 2020
The Ridge Course – Wednesday, May 13, 2020

During the above dates, the golf courses will be open to our active dues paying Members and Society Members only. This time is dedicated exclusively to our active Members.

If you are a non-dues paying Member, Homeowner non-Members or any type of resort guest play, you will not be provided with golfing privileges during this time.

Mother Nature has not been that kind to us this past winter. Even without the challenges of COVID-19, we would not have opened our courses until April 25th. Only having missed 11 days we are considering ourselves very lucky compared to courses in other provinces.

Please make note. Your current May bookings have all been cancelled and you will need to complete and submit a new booking form for your new requests.  We are having you complete new requests for a couple of reasons.  One is that we are now offering 15 minute intervals and have completely rebuilt our tee sheet to support this.  And two, as a thank you for your support and patience, we have decided to allow you to access the Ridge course at no charge on your individually dedicated day of the week.

We want to thank you, our Members, for showing your support during this pandemic. We will be providing all Society Members with $100 in credit at the Golf Shop to be used before the end of May on any apparel or clothing.* In looking at other industry leaders this is a very unique benefit that we are happy to offer you.

We are very lucky to be able to offer you all 36 holes to at least the end of May. Our management team and ownership group is in full support of ensuring that you get priority access. We will continue to monitor changing conditions which could result in an even longer Member only period.

We are also happy to be introducing our new EZGO golf carts with lithium technology during this initial phase of opening. Each cart will be put through extensive pre and post round cleaning. We do ask that you take your own personal cart and/or walk as much as possible. Especially on the Predator course. Due to our limitations on the amount of players in each cart, we simply do not have enough carts to handle demand.

A reminder that your annual cart fees will remain at $500 for the season or $20 per round.  Your Member account will be charged $20 per round each time you play, unless you come into The Shop during May to purchase the annual pass.

We are still living through changing times. Should our province make any adjustments to their plans we could be forced to follow. Many provinces are not allowing golf so should BC join in on that mandate, then we will need to adapt our above plans accordingly.

Food and Beverage offerings will be coming on a separate email.

PHASE 1 OPERATING PLAN:  May 6 - 31, 2020
